Morgan Sindall Supply Chain Academy
The Academy was designed and developed by Future Learning Systems initially for Morgan Sindall Construction in August 2021 with the intention of ensuring suppliers had access to necessary training, in order to be licenced to operate on Morgan Sindall sites in a safe and productive way.
General system features
The Academy is a dedicated Learning Management System (LMS) designed specifically for any main contracting company with multiple supply chain partners. Using multi-level permissions, it allows each supplier to administer their own staff within the LMS and to report back to the main contracting company prior to their staff arriving on site.
All progress from any supplier can be tracked by the main contracting company to ensure the required skills have been attained to match specific site requirements using a customisable Report Builder function.
Scalability
Since its release the Academy has been upgraded to include:
- Integration of a self-registration facility, providing new sub-contractors with fast easy access and auto-assignment to specific organisations and hence all required training, following a simple but effective authentication process.
- Workshop and site toolbox talk meeting booking facility implemented.
- Manufacturer’s knowledge bank area made available to all suppliers using relevant products.
- Quick reports embedded into the main admin console to provide site managers with easily retrieved data for their specific on-site projects and used to ensure sub-contract personnel are aware of safety matters prior to site visits.
- Newsletters and important bulletins signposted within the system for immediate release to all, or specific suppliers within the system.
- Over 20 hours of technical construction e-learning modules made available on the Academy

- Grown from 3,000 suppliers to over 7,200 to date.
- Over 1,300 courses completed throughout 2024-25 (over 600 hours of training).
